Robyn Cohen, M.D., FACS is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and retina specialist at Eye Care of La Jolla specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases with a particular interest in age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular diseases.
Dr. Cohen has been helping Californians with their eye heath needs since 1997. After obtaining her degree in biomedical sciences, Dr. Cohen was awarded her Doctorate in Medicine from University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Cohen performed her residency at New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, followed by additional fellowship training in medical and surgical retina at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Cohen has been a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 1999, and has served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Scripps Memorial Hospital and Pomerado Hospital, and President of the San Diego Eye Bank. Dr. Cohen has over 20 publications.
On a personal note, Dr. Cohen enjoys travelling and spending time with her children.
